Michael Keane was born 1851 in Lehid and died 1947 in Knocknagur, Galway. He married Catherine Gill who was born 1858 in Lehid and died 1941 in Knocknagur. Catherine's grandfather was originally from Castlebar, Co. Mayo. He married Catherine Connolly and they lived in Lehid.

Lehid,Knocknagur, and Kilcreevarty were known as "Kilcreevarty Estate" owned by the Reddingtons of distant Clarinbridge and all rent was paid to Miss Reddington.The farms were very small and in 1919 the congested board built houses on farms in Knocknagur and Kilgevein; the family was relocated to Knocknagur about 1920. Knocknagur is in the Kilbannon area, a part of the Kilconly Parrish.
